Writing tip to spice up your writing.....

Writing is one the major problems many people face everyday. The other day I asked my friend Bob to write something for me. Bob is a kind of Guy who has a lot of experience in many thing but who hardly writes 2 pages a day. He claims a major Writer's block whenever he has to write and complains about it for the rest of the day. some of the writing tip I gave him did help him later though.
 

I thought writers get a block because they write too often and too much I dint know that you can get one if you never wrote. I have always enjoyed writing, Be it web or off line. Sure my handwriting sucks. that's why I chose web to declare the well kept writing tip that I collected over years.
 

No wonder all my teachers hated me in college coz my writing used give them headaches!!!
in fact that was the first reason I got started with computers :-)
 

I consider good writing to be a reflection of the content rather than the handwriting or its legibility, although it does help a lot. All this being the case, right next to public speaking, writing is number two fear people have. I grew up with all kinds of engineers and all the writing they did was with numbers.....excuse me.... I can group alphabets up and make words and make sense of those words but numbers? that's insane or plainly difficult to understand.
 

Here I shall outline some writing tips that you can use immediately And I hope my fellow engineers discover these and use them.

I am surely not comfortable with them or their numbers!

If I were to give you some help on writing the first one is not think of Shakespeare as your model. His English is gone and dead and beyond common usage. I suggest you improve your communications skills first before you can make best use of this writing tips

Writing needs to be treated with some respect so I am going to classify what else could be done to improve your writing skills.

Writing Tips are can be classified based on the type of writing as:

1. Business writing
2. Academic writing
3. Hobby writing
4. Copywriting (online writing or content writing)
5. Entertainment related

These can be the broad classification in writing. I don't aim at creating Hemmingway because I am not one. nor can I make you get your GMAT scores high over night. But what I intend to do is spice up your writing, break the mold and help you find our own unique inner voice through which you can express yourself well. that's what these writing tips are supposed to do.
 

If you need help with basics of writing like grammatical usage sentence structure, that would be a major issue and we will deal with it else where, not here.

Many kind of writing can be improved by following these concrete and time tested principles

Writing tip 1:

"Writing is an kind of output from your brain. It requires good Input".

Your brain needs adequate input, hence know the subject you are about to write, you may say that I have been repeating it too often. TRUE! because it is the MOST important TRUTH in the WORLD!
Knowing "what you are doing" works on so many level that I can't even describe it.

Remember the last time your best buddy was a tad down? did he/she have to tell you in words that they are feeling bad?
They may have not even had sad face you felt that they are not all rite. Writing also works in the same way, people are more sensitive than me and you assume in the waking consciousness. If you thought the world can be won by logic think again.

Writing tip 2:

"Writing needs to be balanced with Logic and enriched by creativity".
Do u think the ad agencies would exist in the world if people were to react very well to Logic all the time?
Do u think people would be drinking coke or Pepsi?
Because, logically they are of no use to anyone, in fact they are dangerous.

Writing tip 3:

"Know what your are writing about".
it is not necessary to know with complete clarity, that will come later then once you know what you want to write about you have to
 

Writing tip 4:

"Start writing what ever comes to your mind".

It can be as points or as paragraph. The idea is to catch a moment of inspiration and make maximum use of it. These words and sentences have the most power as it comes undistilled from the unconscious .the worst thing to do is to sit there and wait for something to happen or to hope the pen moves by itself, it is not going happen, start with whatever, come on.....

If you are like me and you can't type or write as fast as you can think here is a neat writing tip,
Tape yourself and blurt it out!!
later you can transcribe the tape. A moment of inspiration is more powerful than hours of concentration. that is what I believe in, I am sure you will too, when you will see your own phenomenal success.
Of course, you SHOULD NOT follow this all raw method in exams if you are writing one, and come screaming back at me for low scores!
 

These writing tips are designed to help you find your best resources and during your exams you need to be ready for them with the best resource, it is not a good time for experimentation :)
 

As a part of input I already suggested, Read some good books. When you begin reading, make it a point that you read different types of people from different background, because you are also aiming at flexibility.
 

Writing tip 5:

"Know your audience before you write".

If my English professor read this page I will get 10 out of 100, but I'm hoping she wouldn't!!!
My writing is aimed at people who want help. I hope they find it to be so. The way you would blog online would be quite different than an essay on modern poets to be submitted in class or the annual report on marketing expansion to be read by your boss. So always know your audience well.

There is something called a writer's resource within each one of us and today we are going to explore that inner secret. It is not rational but it is very powerful. It is the kind of stuff which made Leonardo Da Vinci the greatest painter, Beethoven a great composer, it is called tapping your inner creativity. it's more powerful that the most powerful computer on the face of the earth and we all have it, some of us use it more but most us don't :-)
